Data controller
The data described here is processed by PiR, the site's publisher (see the legal notice). For any question about your data: [email protected]
What the site does not collect
The site asks for no account and no sign-up. Its only form is the optional feedback on the site (see below).
Tide predictions are fetched by the site's server, and fonts are served by the site itself: to show the times, your browser contacts no third-party service.
Server logs
Like any web server, the site's server keeps a technical log of each request: IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page and browser type.
These logs are used to run the site and protect it from abuse (legitimate interest). They are stored on the site's server, hosted by OVH, and deleted after 14 days.
E-mails
If you write to [email protected], your e-mail address and message arrive in a Gmail (Google) inbox. They are used only to reply to you and are kept as a record of the exchange. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time.
Your feedback on the site
The site invites you to rate it from 1 to 5. If you answer, the rating is stored on the site's server with the language, the page and the type of device (mobile or computer), without an IP address or cookie. Your browser remembers that you answered, so the question isn't asked again.
If you then choose to give detailed feedback, the form is provided by Tally (Tally BV, Belgium), which stores the answers in Europe. Only give your e-mail address if you would like a reply: it is used only to reply to you. Tally and the GDPR: tally.so/help/gdpr
This feedback is used to improve the site (legitimate interest). It is kept for 2 years at most.
Cookies
The site sets no functional cookie: the language comes from the page address (/en for English).
Audience measurement cookies are described below.
Audience measurement (Google Analytics)
The site may use Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to count visits and see which pages are read. It is only turned on if you accept it: until you give your consent, no measurement cookie is set.
Once turned on, Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_<id> cookies, which tell visitors and visits apart, for at most 2 years. Measurement data is kept for 2 months in Google Analytics.
Google may transfer this data to the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, on which these transfers rely. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
You can refuse or withdraw your consent at any time, with no effect on your use of the site, and delete these cookies from your browser settings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you can access your data, have it corrected or erased, object to its processing or ask for it to be restricted, by writing to [email protected]
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority: www.cnil.fr
